The SRC is excited to announce the recipients of the SRC Student / Trainee Award Program for the 2012-13 academic year. The SRC Student / Trainee Awards Program was created in 2010 to support outstanding scholars who are interested, or currently engaged in HIV prevention social research.

The SRC is committed to advancing scholarly research in the field of HIV prevention social research. Through its Student / Trainee Awards Program, the SRC aims to:
- Make a significant contribution to the development of Canadian HIV prevention research capacity through mentorship and financial assistance to support our next generation of HIV researchers in reaching their career goals and aspirations;
- Advance knowledge transfer and exchange between researchers and stakeholder groups to enhance HIV prevention policies, programming and practice;
- Mobilize and engage new researchers in its response to the challenges and opportunities posed by the social and structural drivers of HIV in Canada and beyond.
